Rovni Dam – Filling the reservoir

Works on the Rovni dam have reached its final stage. During the summer 2015 the conditions for filling of the reservoir were met. Filling of the reservoir has started in September 2015 and it was initiated by lowering of the gates at the intake structure of the water intake tower.

Filling of the reservoir has started after the lowering of gates. Also, lowering of the gates has enabled transforming of the diversion tunnel into the bottom outlet. These works assumed pipe laying in the tunnel and construction of the downstream valve chamber. The works for pipe laying and construction of the downstream valve chamber have entered into the final stage during 2015.

The plans for 2016 provide for completion of works at the outlet valve chamber, and this would create conditions for the final reception of the structure.
